Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences and Hospital (ASCOMS), Jammu

was founded in 1995 and is located in Sidhra, in the heart of Jammu's beauty. The college began with 507 beds, based on the J&K government's request, and has now grown to 600 beds, including Emergency and Critical Care areas. In addition, according to the I.N.C Curriculum, ASCOMS Jammu has offered Urban and Rural Community Health Practice to local health centres in Bishnah and Chatha. Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as Physics and Chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). It is also mandatory for students to take the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) .

A student seeking admission to a post-graduate programme must have earned an MBBS from a recognised university. Then, as per Section 10 (D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single admission test to various MD/MS Courses.

Infrastructure:

ASCOMS Jammu is a 10.5-acre campus with academic amenities such as a College Block and a Hospital Block. There are five lecture theatres in all, each with proper amenities and space for 250 people. All departments have demonstration halls, and each department has fully equipped laboratories, as required by MCI. With a seating capacity of 500 people, an Auditorium is accessible as a Gallery type.

Health Care Services: - Medical services range from simple cold, virus, and minor injury treatment at less complete institutions to comprehensive lab tests, X-rays, specialists, and pharmacies at the most comprehensive centres. Counseling services are available in many campus health Programmed.

Counselling Service: - The 'Counseling Service' is for persons who are experiencing emotional or behavioural issues. or addiction, or certain health concerns such as HIV/AIDS, but the fact is that people of all types seek Counselling, and this does not imply that they are "crazy" or "weak."

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Report: - A student must offer a narrative of an event or report facts from a book, article, or other source in a college report. While some research may be required when writing a report, it is mostly a document that asks you to understand rather than obtain the data on which you report.
